Flow moves throughout an artist's process guiding them to where they need to go. The result is an exquiste self expression that moves worlds especially whenyou look very closely at the the mystery within. What is this artist hiding in here for me? What is that generations later will look at and wonder what were those symbols at that time when consciousness changed to awareness? It is my extreme pleasure to create these collages. They look simple, but each one is a puzzle in itself.
Open the door to my sunlit studio to find where I create these little treasures.
An Art Journalist is someone who translates life into art by recording it with paint, pen, ink, camera and words. Images with words that express what the soul needs to bring forward is what it is all about. Art journaling was a powerful healing tool for me during my time away at university when I needed to fortify my strenght of heart. I continue to use this method of recording inspiring quotes, moments and prose and then allowing the soul artistic expression. Access to colours through many media is wat we all long for unknowingly. The need for colour balancing is universally important as is the need to express our hearts. When we are in love we are aligned and generosity spills out of us, as the creative play that we all long for. I suggest taking a creativity break at lunch time to get re-aligned and let colour do the rest. My art journal is a source of collected wisdom I can draw from when I am down. When I am inspired I can capture the essence of the moment through abstraction. This means translating what you see into something new. For me it is colour balance that I am on the look out for. These visual treats then become part of the colour family for my paintings and collages.
WHAT: Inspired by the writings of Neale Donald Walsch, Conversation from God Part 1 will allow us to journey together through life questions that will bring us closer to our own truth. Everyone of us, so unique, so powerful and so loved, but many of us feel disconnected from ourselves from our communities and from nature. Our journey is to reconnect with our own self through the art of silence, affirmations, questions through conversation and art journalling.

I have also been a mixed media artist for the past 18 years. I began my spiritual journey during my Philosphy studies at University. The human mind "wants to know". How can we get to know ourselves better? I have found through a regular on-going spirit filled art practice is part of whole living and well-being. It leads to paintings like the one below.
People ask how much time did it take you to make that painting? The answer is 18 years and more. The photographic eye is the is as a development over time that allows for a flexibility of spirit. The writer would agree that brings a palette of words as well. What greatness can you uncover when agree to look within on a daily basis and express yourself? Emerging and evolving are a natural part of creative life. Creativity itself is a natural part of life that is most often neglected on the path to well being. I love going back through my art journals that chronicle not only my work, but my own personal growth and spiritual journey. The illustrations, photographs and words remind me of who I always was. It is a satisfaction that I enjoy sharing, teaching and speaking about. Join me on my self care journey!
