3 HAPPY HOLIDAY REMINDERS
TAKE TIME OUT TO DESTRESS
WITH SELF-CARE PAUSE MOMENTS
RELAX: COLOURING CALM
Take a moment to de-stress by shading in some shapes with the colours of your choosing. This simple act along with some deep breaths can change your state to calm.
ARRANGE: ENJOY PUTTING IT TOGETHER
As you are putting together your holiday season plans, make time to appreciate your home and creations. Express your gratitude for life by capturing your precious moments, photographing the people around. Don't forget to make some self portraits as well!
DONATE: HEALTHY FOOD BANK DONATIONS
This year my children, Damon and Chloe's school collected 1400 food items for the local holiday food drive. Chloe's class facilitated the gathering of the food. Some of the items the food bank requested were:
pasta soup chili cereal canned fruit and vegetables
Sometimes people forget to give. This year my Mom is collecting food from our whole family and donating it on behalf of all of the family for us. Sometimes people just don't know what to donate to the food bank drive. Here are two healthy food options I am suggesting giving :
ANNIE'S HOMEGROWN: The pasta is organic and does not contain any artificial flavours, synthetic colours or preservatives. There are several kinds including a Gluten-Free option. My kids like the Bunny Pasta with Yummy Cheese. This is a healthy meal option for adults and children.
MADE GOOD GRANOLA: Their organic granola products is verified NON-GMO school approved, made with 6grams of sugar and vegan.
Families visiting the food bank during the Holiday Season can benefit from these healthy choices. Families going through rough times are in need of good food. Putting together a small donation of organic pasta and granola can ease some the stress that these families may be living through. You can feel good knowing you helped a little to diffuse some the distress these people, especially children are enduring. This may be the best empowering yourself to joy thing, you can do this season. A real life health generating action could be the kindest thing you do for someone in need.
