In the scant remaining time before Christmas arrives, there can sometimes seem like there are a million and one things to do. In the next posts, The Christmas Countdown Begins. This Blog 2 Day Series is a helpful guide to tying up those last loose ends of year end holiday preparation. CARING: The holiday season is supposed to bring much joy and happiness. However it can be the most stressful time of year. It is statistically, the highest time for suicides depression and despair. Being aware that what you see is not what may really be going on with the various people you meet this season can be a step towards compassionate spiritual growth. Each and everyone of us experiences sadness. Mindfully making the choice to not cause despair by being sensitive and sympathetic to the fact that no one is perfect can help. In my work, I hear a lot about people feeling as if they will never measure up. There is frustration in living with this thought as a mindset. One way to begin to turn this around is to know that we are not alone. Joy is available to us with the right formulas and actions we can begin to begin to live in a more joy filled way.
