Taking time out to fill our need for creativity is a something that is often overlooked in modern life. Creating a self care practice includes recognizing the need for a well thought out approach to life. How can you lead a notable life? What is the one thing you want to achieve the most this year?

Learn how not to take things to personally by drawing on your inner strength. This technique can be applied to everyday life situations as well as the sales process.
THE CREATIVITY PRESCRIPTION
An on-going art practice creates a cycle of contentment. Using images, words and workshops, I help you to create a more complete sense of well being. This is an overlooked part of the holistic model that you can explore through my work.
Further back in my blog you can read my collection of Creativity Prescriptions which I began to write in 2009.

THE ECO-LOVELY PROGRAM: CARE-CYCLING TO SAVE THE PLANET
As an Eco-Peace Advocate, I contribute to the Children's Wish Foundation as a Wish Ambassador as well as a fundraising/upcycling Mom. In 2013 I started my environmental program called Eco-Lovely which comes from the idea of being eco-friendly but with a well thought out design for taking extra steps in earth care. Children have created artwork as well as collected and donated used clothing for reuse.
This year, for 2014 I created an Eco-Badge Design Program using recycled materials. Children of various ages have donated over 100's of designs.
Eco-Lovely involves each person taking responsibility for caring for the planet as well as our fellow humans. As humans we can use our creativity to care for the Earth in many more ways that incorporate better design in our societies. The Eco-Lovely Program reminds people to bring a mindfully caring element to their entire life in relation to the planet.
I am a published author in a book called Pebbles In The Pond with 44 authors from around the world.
My chapter entitled Creative Power: Putting Passion Into Action can be found within the pages of Pebbles In The Pond, a non-fiction anthology. I was excited to be part of this group of amazing authors. Sparkle Centered Living is my upcoming book project and my philosophy that insists that getting in alignment helps you heal spiritually and to radiate out your own personal gifts. I created this concept based on Character & Company, a motivational educational training I created at university in 1996 after volunteering at my campus Wellness Centre. Later, I found myself writing the title of my philosophy Sparkle Centered Living in May 2010 late at night as I was developing different names in my notebook. I wanted a name that made self help appealing in way that I see it. There has always been a positive response to the name. I am continuously writing and speaking on this philosophy.
Overall, I give voice to our holistic need for creativity, that needs to be fulfilled for our personal wellness to be complete.
I am also the Founder of Encourage Ink Magazine, a unique upcoming on-line magazine “where motivation meets style”.
STYLE & IMAGE TIPS
I make Polyvore collages to give people style tips that act as reminders to nurture their Self Care. Taking care of the mind, body and spirit means presenting a well thought out for image of yourself. A favourite blouse can bring us confidence the same way a robe can bring us comfort. These are the little priceless things that make life exquisite. They can act as NLP for an instant boost to both our body and our overall outlook on life. Making care for the self a habit can help us all add to the balance of our well being.
THE MIXED MEDIA ARTIST: FLOW PAINTINGS
I have also been a Mixed Media Artist for the past 18 years. This means I can use can many techniques and acquired secrets interchangeably in my design process. As I continued my exploration of how we process thought during my philosophy studies at university, I concluded that the human mind not only "wants to know" but needs ways of feeling complete. How can we get to to this place of completeness? I have found through an on-going art practice that a cycle of contentment can be created. This is an often overlooked part of whole living and well being. This sense of completion and a regular creative practice leads to paintings like the one below.
People often ask me, how much time does it take you to make a painting ? The answer is 18 years because the photographic eye also develops over time. A flexibility of spirit and an intuitive sense also contribute. Writers would agree that time also brings a palette of words as well. What greatness can be uncovered when you look within on a daily basis and express yourself? Emerging and evolving are a natural part of creative life. I love going back through my art journals that chronicle not only my work, but my own personal growth and spiritual journey. The illustrations, photographs and words remind me of who I always was. It is this sense of satisfaction that comes from creating that I enjoy sharing, teaching and speaking about. Creativity itself is a part of life that is most often neglected on the path to well being. Join me on my Self Care journey as I encourage you on yours!
